Mabel's Gourmet is a family-owned company, inspired by our founder's (David Vest) Grandmother, Mabel McAnally's, one of a kind cheese straw recipe.
Mabel's cheese straws have been a staple to enjoy with our family and friends throughout holiday's, sporting events, parties, etc. and after receiving such wonderful feedback, we decided to take Mabel's legacy to another level. As we brainstormed ideas for the company's name, we chose to honor Mabel by branding the business as "Mabel's Gourmet".
Our first time to offer these cheese straws was this past year, where we participated in Greene Street Market. Greene Street Market is an open-air market for fresh, locally-grown vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. Our owners, David and Kelli Vest, signed up for the half season where they had dozens of boxes every other Thursday. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and opportunity the market offered us to expand thus far.
The product is light & crispy in texture with a unique flavor as compared to other products. Samplers have often labeled these cheese straws to have a bit of a "kick" that keep them coming back for more. We are established in Huntsville, AL and we would love for you to place any special orders online or give us a call!
